San Pedro Alcántara will hold this year at the International Tourism Fair of Madrid Fitur 2017 a commitment to nature tourism and will be presented as a ‘south gate’ to the Sierra de Las Nieves. In the exhibitor of Marbella will be projected a promotional video with images of enclaves like the swamp of Las Medranas and Lake of the Tortugas.
Ecotourism “is an important asset to fight seasonality and attract tourists outside the high season,” said Deputy Mayor Sampaio Rafael Piña.
In addition, he recalled that San Pedro has “an enviable climate and a strategic location a few kilometers from the Sierra de Las Nieves natural park”.
In this sense, he underlined the importance of promoting San Pedro in this important international fair “as an ideal destination to be able to practice hiking, cycling or horseback riding through its natural spaces.”
“We have spectacular places and we are betting to put them in value,” he said.
To publicize these attractions, at the stand of the city will be projected during the celebration of Fitur, which opens its doors on Wednesday and will continue until January 22, a promotional video with images of natural enclaves as the swamp of Las Medranas Or Lake Las Tortugas.
In the fair of Madrid are already from this Tuesday the two councilors of Option Sampedreña in the government team, the deputy mayor, Rafael Piña, and the councilman of Treasury, Manuel Osorio.
Both have participated in the previous event that has taken place at the Teatro Real in Madrid and this Wednesday will do in the opening of Fitur and the first promotional events.
